During my summer internship at Kotak Life Insurance, I had the incredible opportunity to work on a project focused on developing a healthcare dashboard. The primary objective of the project was to enhance the performance of the system by utilizing Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) stack. Additionally, the project aimed to leverage KQL language for efficient data querying and manipulation. My role as an intern involved building a live and dynamic dashboard that provided visualization and assessment tools to monitor and upgrade the health of various system applications such as Amigo, Genie, and Epic. By utilizing the ELK stack, I was able to create an efficient and responsive monitoring system.

Throughout the internship, I gained invaluable experience in working with Elasticsearch, a powerful search and analytics engine. I learned to index and store data efficiently, enabling quick retrieval and analysis. Logstash, an open-source data processing pipeline, played a crucial role in collecting, transforming, and enriching the data from different sources, ensuring its compatibility with the dashboard. Moreover, Kibana, a powerful data visualization and exploration tool, allowed me to design visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards. I implemented various visualizations, such as line charts, bar graphs, and heat maps, to present key performance metrics, system health indicators, and critical alerts. By leveraging the capabilities of KQL language, I was able to manipulate and query the data effectively. This skill proved invaluable in generating real-time insights and identifying areas for improvement within the system.

Working as a summer intern at Kotak Life Insurance exposed me to the challenges and complexities of working on a live system. I gained hands-on experience in optimizing the performance of microservices and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to build efficient dashboards for system health assessment. Overall, my internship experience at Kotak Life Insurance provided me with a solid foundation in utilizing ELK stack technologies, specifically Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana, for improving system performance and creating dynamic dashboards. It enhanced my skills in data visualization, data analysis, and KQL querying, preparing me for future challenges in the field of data analytics and system optimization.
